Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic care is a healthcare discipline that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal and nervous system disorders, with a primary emphasis on the spine.

Doctors of Chiropractic use manual manipulation (adjustments) to restore proper movement to the joints of the spine and extremities. Ensuring proper movement of the spine and other joints treats issues such as headaches, neck & back pain, arthritis, sciatica, and other types of nerve pain. Chiropractic adjustments combined with soft tissue treatment can also help decrease pain from carpal tunnel syndrome, tendinitis & tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, sprains, strains, and other acute injuries, as well as chronic pain.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) practice that involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to stimulate energy flow, known as Qi (pronounced "chee"). The aim of acupuncture is to restore balance and promote the body's natural healing abilities.

Acupuncture can help with symptoms such as low energy, poor sleep, anxiety, digestive issues, musculoskeletal pain, nerve pain, headaches, tendinitis/tendinopathy, carpal tunnel, plantar fasciitis, and many other symptoms.

Soft-Tissue Treatment

Instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation and deep tissue percussion work to relax muscles and remove muscle adhesions and trigger points. Cupping is a Chinese medicine technique that helps to release trigger points and bring more blood flow to the muscle. These soft tissue techniques can be used to treat tendinitis and tendinopathy, spasm/tight muscles, and aid in recovery of a sprain or strain. Soft-tissue treatment is often used in conjunction with chiropractic adjustments to provide the best treatment outcome.

Sports Physical

A pre-participation physical (also known as a sports physical) is often required before school age or college students participate in group sports activities. This ensures the health and safety of the young athlete and also serves to alert the coach if an athlete has any health problems or potential issues when playing sports. Midwest Wellness Center provides pre-participation physicals for Medicaid recipients at a heavily discounted rate.

Dot Physicals

A DOT (Department of Transportation) physical is a medical examination required for individuals seeking to obtain or renew a commercial driver's license (CDL) in the United States. The DOT physical is mandated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to ensure that commercial drivers meet specific health and fitness standards. Midwest Wellness Center provides DOT physicals at a discounted rate to reduce barriers for employment.
